The work I did for Reuters always had a 24 hour deadline.  As a result, I developed a digital style that mimicked traditional cell art.  The linework was kept on a clear top layer, and the rest was painted directly underneath.  It was an incredibly fast process that produced a fresh energetic result.

Below are several sketches for these images.  I usually worked very quickly, starting with rough shapes and continually drawing over them until the final composition started to emerge.
